An integral part of the Mobile Web Africa series, Mobile Web West Africa returns to Lagos on April 24th, 25th and 26th at the Oriental Hotel.  Following the sold-out inaugural event in 2011, this year’s edition has been expanded to three days and promises to further establish itself as the place to share knowledge and do business.  Mobile Monday Nigeria is officially supporting the event and MoMo members are eligible for a 20% discount on attendance.

An overflowing agenda of interaction and presentations has been created in order to dissect the core areas of the mobile web and applications opportunities.  The main two-day conference will touch on key topics including mobile as a tool for empowerment and social good, mobile and music, mobile marketing, and the growth of mobile social media.  A session dedicated exclusively to the development of applications for mobile phones will be held on April 24th and there is no charge for app developers to attend (see http://www.mobilewestafrica.com/wp/app-developer-day for details).

This year’s speaker faculty includes industry leading individuals and organisations such as: Alan Knott-Craig (CEO, MXit), Isis Nyong’o (VP & MD – Africa, InMobi), Obi Asika (CEO, Storm 360), Jason Njoku (CEO, Iroko Partners), Eric Idiahi (CEO, Spinlet), Emma Kaye (CEO, Bozza) and Tim Smyth (Group CEO, TBWA Africa).

Over 75% of places at the event have already been reserved so please react quickly if you’re interested in getting involved.  Visit www.mobilewestafrica.com to book your place and use code 1MWEAP20 when registering online to claim the 20% MoMo discount.  A limited number of 50% subsidies are available for start-ups and applications developers.
