Mobile Monday Nigeria September 2012 Event: Monetizing Mobile – What Customers want Developers to create

Mobile Monday Nigeria & InmobiMobile Web is fast becoming a major medium through which people access the web in developing countries. Even in developed nations, people tend to use mobile applications to access information than going to a desktop version of a website.

This presents a new challenge for developers. They have to develop carefully because lots of factors come into play. The factors include
1. What are the best screen sizes / form factors to develop for?
2. What are the best ads formats to use if the app is to be monetized?
3. How easy is it for the user to navigate the application? and so on.
The major factor especially for big content providers would be ”How to present information on mobile without confusing the user?” .

This month, Inmobi will be joining us and speaking about the results of a survey that was just concluded which focused on what customers want from Nigerian Apps. The event will be focused on Developers and how they can develop applications that users really want.

The event will hold on the 24th of September, 2012 at the Function Room, Muson Centre, Lagos Island, Lagos from 5:30pm to 9:00pm. There will also be an app presentation session where 3 App Developers will get a chance to present their work and the best one will be picked by a panel.
